Summary of Functions

The Production Engineering/Maintenance Manager manages and ensures the performance of facility  equipment and processes including management of maintenance staff. These duties include reviewing  and distributing work and personnel schedules, conferring with department management to determine  progress of work and completion dates, and compiling reports on progress of work, labor hours, costs,  and production problems. This position maintains, troubleshoots, and/or tests robotic equipment or  related automated production systems.

Principle Responsibilities

• Distributes production schedules and work orders to maintenance staff. 

• Troubleshoots systems, using programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis,  • mechanics, sensor, etc. 

• Designs, configures, and works on the application of robotic systems and modifies computer controlled robot movements. 

• Disassembles and reassembles robots or peripheral equipment to make repairs. • Performs preventative or corrective maintenance on electromechanical equipment and robotic  systems. 

• Maintains service records of robotic equipment or automated production systems. • Reviews documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing spreadsheets to  determine personnel or materials requirements and priorities. 

• Manages department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed  changes.  

• Examines documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess  completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications. 

• Manages inventories of spare part for equipment 

• Supervises preventive and predicative activities, such as routine maintenance systems and  periodic inspections. 

• Compiles and prepares documentation related to production sequences, personnel schedules,  and maintenance, or repair orders. 

• Establishes and prepares product construction directions and locations and information on  require tools, materials, equipment, numbers of workers needed, and cost projections • Press line day downtime analysis 

• On-site response to facility stop (causes/countermeasures) facility daily inspection performance • Equipment preventive maintenance plan/performance 

• Analysis and improvement of causes of press inconveniences (scrap) 

• Attends quality meetings / prepare measures to improve defects 

• Worker evaluation management 

• Management 3C5S 

• Verifies daily utility inspection performance 

• Manages of working hours for each worker (weekly/monthly) 

• On-site safety training 

• Creates and manages standard documents and manuals

 

• Monthly/quarterly inventory count 

• Processes spare management (inventory, purchase management) 

• Real-time inventory and receipt status management of spare parts 

• Equipment registration (history) management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.  

• At least 5+ years of manufacturing or processing experience required.  

• Experience in automobile body parts manufacturing industry preferred.  

• Bilingual in English and Korean and/or Spanish strongly preferred.  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload.  • Team player with high energy and a can-do attitude.  

• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.  

• Strong math skills, with capability of understanding and conducting basic arithmetic and  statistical operations.  

• Ability to quickly recognize errors and inconsistencies in numerical data (good analysis skills).  • Microsoft Office programs experience such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to establish  reports.  

• Excellent supervisory skills and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

Work is considered low physical work in an office and production setting, requiring lifting up to 25 pounds of force. Must possess strength, stamina, and mobility to perform low physical work indoors with minimum exposure to dust.  

Must be able to: 

• Walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time.  • Demonstrate the ability to hear and have specific vision abilities to adjust focus, in an environment subject to noise, dust, etc.  

• The office area is adjunct to the facility facing noises, constant phone interactions, and will be in contact with other staff.

 

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Overtime
