Korean Bilingual Human Resources Generalist / Richardson, TX / Others / BTIHQ

General Position Purpose:
Your role is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting HR all functions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, training, employee relations, performance management, onboarding-off-boarding, immigrations, and employment law compliance. Provides assistance with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. This role administers employee health and welfare plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. This position resolves benefits-related problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations. The human resource coordinator makes that certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed

Essential Responsibilities
  • Process Bi-weekly payroll including supplemental/off cycle payrolls
  • Stay abreast of immigration functions and processes within the company/Back up for Immigrations
  • 4011< Enrollment and associated processes.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Department
  • Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc.)
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
  • Maintains EEO-1 files and assist with report annually; and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations. Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, guidelines, and regulations
  • Be t7e Immigrations Liaison between BTI, Managers, Employees and Attorney
  • Communicate with public services when necessary
  • Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures
  • Maintains company organization charts, employee directory and human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Assist with Benefits Administration; Reconcile billing
  • Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
  • Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Must have the following competencies:
  • Advanced Human Resources and Employment Law Experience
  • Critical Evaluation
  • Relationship Management and Cultural Awareness
  • Ethical Practice (Corporate Responsibility, Code of Conduct, Confidentiality)
  • Proven experience as an HR assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position
  • PC literacy (MS Office, in particular)
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communications skills

Supervisory Responsibility
  • This position may or may not has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree and 2+ year HR Generalist experience or any similar combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands of the job will include repetitive motions, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, sitting, pulling, lifting, pushing, carrying, walking, being in static position and driving. The position will require the individual to be able to lift up to 25 lbs. up to 1/3 of the time during a work day.
