Responsibilities
- Kubernetes Expertise: Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters. Set up and maintain production-ready Kubernetes environments. Monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters for performance and reliability. Implement best practices for container orchestration
- Infrastructure Automation: Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform to automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure components, Maintain version-controlled IaC scripts for consistency and scalability
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes, Integrate OpenShift into CI/CD workflows to facilitate seamless containerized deployments
- Monitoring and Logging: Implement and configure monitoring and logging solutions tailored for OpenShift environments, respond to and resolve incidents related to infrastructure and application performance
- Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices for containerized applications and Kubernetes clusters. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with application modernization teams to understand application requirements and optimize deployment processes, Work in tandem with operations and support teams to ensure smooth production operations
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, OpenShift (Hybrid Cloud))
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Experienced in Java, Microservices using Spring Boot and Build Tools (Maven or Gradle).
- Extensive hands-on experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift and Microservices.
- Good Understanding in Service Mesh.
- Good Knowledge in Spring Batch Job and Cron Job.
- Proven experience in Kubernetes administration and orchestration.
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, containerd)
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK stack).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on OpenShift Kubernetes.
- Comprehensive understanding of OpenShift architecture, deployment, and administration.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus
- Bilingual (English and Korean)
