Responsibilities
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Collaborate with the web application development team to discuss verification processes
- Identify web application vulnerabilities through rigorous testing procedures.
- Develop ideas for testing and the procedures to perform those tests.
- Review web application bugs and highlight the areas that are of issue.
- Write programming codes to improve the automation process of testing web application.
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing features to meet client needs
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- 6+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance (QA) role
- Experience in developing automated test cases in at least one programming language
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance, especially web applications
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
- Strong knowledge in common web application technologies
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fantastic communication and presentation abilities
