ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: State the major activities and job results for which the position is responsible.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Preparing daily and weekly reports for management. • Conduct a transactional process from factory to customer distribution or retail center under managerial supervision, making routine decisions using pre-determined decision alternatives on matters that have light to moderate impact on business operations. • Track and resolve shipping, warehouse, and carrier shipping errors, as well as damaged products claims by following general guidelines and seeking manager authority for exceptional or high cost deviations. • Complete transportation transactions from factory to customer delivery, focusing on one of the following areas: • Inbound shipment tracking and delivery from overseas manufacturing to local distribution and warehousing facilities. • Product management within the warehouse facility. • Outbound shipping and delivery to customer distribution or retail centers. • Reverse logistics processing return shipments from customers to hubs, including reconciling claims and invoice discrepancies • All other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: List the special skills, technical knowledge, certification, experience or education a person would need to assume this position.
• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree or experience. • The ability to read, prepare, interpret, and understand product shipment information from various order and shipping documents to ensure accuracy and thorough preparation of transportation documents. • Works on problems of limited and routine scope where limited analysis of data requires identification of predetermined solutions. • Exercises judgment within defined practices and policies in selection of methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. • Typically has general knowledge of logistics operations related to employee’s specific area of work, and limited knowledge of overall logistics operations. • Is able to identify standard problems within the delivery cycle and makes recommendations to change either delivery methods or dates, and authorize standard returns or claims to ensure customer satisfaction.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: List the typical working environment (office, warehouse, sitting, lifting, talking, travel, hours, etc.
• This is a full-time position based in Klein office Plano, TX. • Due to the nature of business, this role requires the incumbent to be onsite in the office Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm • Must be able to work after-hours as needed • Environmental factors: seated at a desk, using a computer, telephone, etc.
