Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable and robust backend systems using SAPUI5 and related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, business analysts, and system administrators, to gather requirements and understand business needs.
- Implement server-side logic and business rules using SAPUI5 and relevant programming languages such as Java, ABAP, or Node.js.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and web services to enable data exchange between frontend and backend systems.
- Design and optimize databases and data models to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Ensure data security and implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Conduct thorough testing of backend functionality, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
- Debug and resolve defects and issues reported by end users or discovered during testing.
- Collaborate with the frontend development team to integrate the backend with the user interface, ensuring seamless user experience.
- Stay up to date with the latest SAPUI5 and backend development trends, technologies, and best practices, and continuously enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Perform ad-hoc reporting, as required.
- Perform other job-related duties as required
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in SAPUI5 frontend development, including designing and implementing user interfaces using SAPUI5 framework, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Proficient in frontend technologies such as jQuery, XML, JSON, and AJAX.
- Experience with responsive design and mobile application development.
- Familiarity with UI design principles and best practices, including usability and accessibility standards.
- Knowledge of SAPUI5 controls and libraries, such as Smart Controls and Fiori Elements, is highly desirable.
- Understanding of backend integration concepts and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug frontend issues.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
