Currently seeking a National Promotions Platform Manager to support development and execution of national promotions, extension of promotions process to additional product categories, create channel-level financial simulations and profitability analyses for promotional planning, and perform post-mortem analyses on promotional efficiency. This role will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Channel Marketing Strategy and will work closely with Channel Marketing, sales and marketing teams, and internal business planning and finance teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic Analyses: • Create financial simulations to support development of national promotions, including product launches and cross-company partnerships • Model channel-level analysis of promotional spend efficiency, and identify areas to improve national promotion investment • Create channel-level financial modeling and profitability analysis to drive critical business decisions and investments in individual channels • For post-mortem of national promotions, aggregate and analyze performance data from different sources and formats across the organization and from external vendors • Aggregate, collate, and analyze primary, secondary, and third party sources to create analyses to shape national promotional strategy • Develop analysis and insights to support development of acquisition & retention initiatives for specific sales channels
Reporting: • Develop and manage national promotions dashboard and reporting, including but not limited to: promotional performance & spend, acquisition and retention cost, and other key metrics by channel • Weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting of the above and other metrics as needed.
Administrative: • Project manage the development and execution of national promotions, including creation of Operational Playbooks, Terms & Conditions, FAQs, etc. • Support extension of National Promotions process to additional product categories (smartwatch, tablets, wireless earbuds, etc.), with opportunity to lead promotions in these categories • Manage purchase order creations and expense submission for Customer Service vendors • Process and submit expense requests for national promotions, external vendors, and partnership promotions
Skills and Qualifications • 8+ years of work experience in financial, business analytics, and project management preferred • Very strong business analytical skills, financial acumen, budget management know-how required • A proven self-starter, he/she must be a highly motivated individual with a strong ability to aggregate and consolidate from disparate data sources not readily available or stored. • Outstanding proficiency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels. • Excellent proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, data visualization, etc.) and PowerPoint, with ability to translate financial models into strategic/executive communications
Necessary Skills and Attributes • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company and its constituents. • Strong proficiency in navigating large organizations and multiple points of contact to complete a singular task • Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects. • Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve business objectives, personal and team goals, and complete assignments within established timeframes and specifications. • The ability to complete tasks and work assignments on tight deadlines, sometimes based on vaguely defined parameters and data availability. Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment: • Work is generally performed in an office environment. • Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 70% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. • The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds. • Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress. • Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas. • Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule. • Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions.
