PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Corporate Communications team seeks an ambitious and positive team player, passionate about news, media, and technology. As a vital member of the Corporate Communications team, this individual will have the opportunity to directly contribute to the objective of protecting our public-facing reputation.
The role will be critical in supporting our business with intelligence gathering and analyzing issues across our various sectors, overseeing project management activities and operations such as technology administration, vendor management, and budget/finance tracking. Reporting directly to the Director of Reputational Risk, this role will also support various activities, including real-time media monitoring and operational / project management support on our key workflows.

RESPONSIBILITIES/PRINCIPAL DUTIES (Essential Functions)


• Contribute to development of the Corporate Communications team’s capabilities in media intelligence gathering and monitoring
• Thinking “outside the box” in proposing solutions to addressing risks to our brand
• Performing real-time monitoring and alerting of news coverage surrounding issues impacting our reputation and broader industry trends
• Establishing and handling the team’s expectations around project deliverables, constructing project plans, tracking action items, helping to define project scope, and assigning duties to members are part of project manager roles and responsibilities.
• Preparing analytical and summarized reports on key issues for the Risk Communications team
• Analyzing traditional and social media conversations
• Ensuring budget is being tracked in a timely, accurate manner and supporting various vendor management tasks, including contract renewals and approvals on both an annual and rolling basis
• Supporting the Corporate Communications, Internal Communications, and Newsroom team leaders

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE


• 5+ years’ experience in communications-based roles
• Familiarity with MS-Suite of tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and detailed project management skills are required.
• Experience in media analysis, intelligence and reporting
• Ability to adapt to change and work effectively in a fast-pace and dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with media monitoring tools and writing Boolean searches.
