Summary:
The main function of a trainer is to conduct training and development programs for employees. This person is responsible for collecting information, conducting research, and creating training materials and programs.

a. Job Descriptions for Key Roles

i. Instructional Designer – Create and manage technical training content for new-hire, ongoing and ad-hoc training requests for any employee that provides service in the care organization.

ii. Position Summary:
• Develop and manage content for new-hire and ongoing technical training for all levels of in-store staff and call center agents.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of applicable repair standards and processes.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design, meaningful measurement and evaluation, and multiple learning formats.
• Assist in the design and assembly of training materials. Develop content for specific product and technology.
• Demonstrate competency in both oral and written communication for internal and external personnel at all levels, especially in customer support product training program, repair order work, and troubleshooting activities.
• Utilize internal community to share improvements and experiences in product troubleshooting, failure analysis, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
• Assist in the design and assembly of training materials. Develop content for specific product and technology focused training modules.
• Responsible for daily customer satisfaction with company’s post-sales support activities for product handling.
• Provide assistance to team members when needed or required.
• Applies advanced technical knowledge of departmental principles and procedures including advance root cause analysis and reporting
• Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to produce accurate and meaningful support materials that provides a differentiator with our competitor OEM’s.
• Assist with calibrating and maintaining test equipment, test cables and ESD safety equipment in accordance with calibration standards and compliance procedures; perform minor repairs, replacement or calibration of equipment or initiate contract repair or replacement orders.
• Performs work within company and regulatory guidelines.

iii. Background/Experience/Skills:
• Analyzed the standards set by industry to design and develop curriculum to ensure learner’s success in the course(s)
• Implemented carefully planned lessons to each learner
• Differentiated teaching techniques to reach learners with different learning styles
• Used formative assessments to adjust lessons to the needs of each class while staying on track to complete the course curriculum
• Analyzed data from prior assessments to determine gaps in learning
• Collaborated with teammates to develop lesson plans and write assessments

iv. Core Roles and Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with all stakeholders in order to tailor training to best fit the needs of the team
• Manage the creation and implementation of a variety of different training methods including hands-on, blended, digital, technical and train-the-trainer
• Understand our internal customers that we fully support
• Identify opportunities of improvement or areas of excellence within programs; report findings to senior partners
• Effectively train on how to create exciting experience for consumers
• Innovate new and fun ways to engage team in training and development activities
• Build strong relationships with business partners, account teams, internal management, etc.
• Effectively design/implement training materials to enhance the overall learning experience
• Manage web-based training content within respective CMS and/or LMS
• Build, run and analyze training content reports for completion data as well as content improvement opportunities

v. Necessary Skills/Attributes:
• Successful training experience/proven track record in performance management
• Ability to perform independently with strong decision-making skills
• Creative design skills utilizing technology-based tools and processes
• Ability to stage a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and connects with company's needs
• Impeccable oral, verbal and written communications and presentation skills
• Advanced MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
• Ability to work with multiple decision makers to create content required to support business needs

• Required reporting back to Senior Leadership
• Must provide weekly update outlining all task and training completed for the previous week
