Summary:

The main function of a business operations specialist is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics and budget. The business operations specialist usually reports to a project manager or director.

Job Responsibilities:

BUSINESS UNIT LANGUAGE “Sizzle”: The direct-to-consumer eCommerce team is looking for a Strategy Analyst to help drive the development and planning of new strategic initiatives and capabilities. This role will be a key contributor to the Strategy & Operations team, providing financial projections for new initiatives, conducting market research and benchmarking, developing project plans and serving as project manager, and utilizing data to generate insights to shape strategies. This role will be a direct contributor on high visibility initiatives that will have CEO and Global visibility. Successful candidates are comfortable with heavy data analysis and financial modeling, developing executive-level powerpoint presentations, able to source data from external and/or unstructured sources, able to lead cross-functional teams and drive accountability across levels of the organization, and a self-starter that can contribute and add value without explicit direction.

THE POSITION

Specific responsibilities include:
•       Generate multi-year P&L simulations for new initiatives based on sound financial modeling best practices and well-grounded assumptions with backup rationale
•       Conduct competitive benchmarking and market research, shared out as a presentation, to identify best practices and insights to inform strategy
•       Work with raw data to analyze and identify insights to shape key initiatives
•       Develop detailed project plans for new initiatives and drive weekly meetings, track progress, hold workstream owners accountable to due dates, and escalate delays / blockers to leadership proactively to ensure projects achieve target dates
•       Work with external vendors / partners as necessary to coordinate efforts and facilitate vendor onboarding and legal contract reviews
•       Be comfortable managing multiple projects / workstreams at once, working on aggressive timelines, and being able to self-manage and contribute without explicit instructions
•       Develop strong partnerships and collaboration with multiple teams and stakeholders at various levels in the organization

THE CANDIDATE

Background & Competencies Required:
•       Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of work experience in driving revenue, strategy, or business management
•       MBA with 2+ years of work experience in driving revenue, strategy, or business management
•       Proficient with Excel, Powerpoint, Financial Modeling, and conducting market research
•       Self-starter, able to proactively identify opportunities and lead teams to implement
•       Results-oriented, not afraid of being accountable to hitting aggressive timelines
•       Being able to develop strategies for new, never been done before initiatives (able to merge analytical and creative thinking)
•       Demonstrated success in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment with ability to respond to changing priorities without loss in performance or productivity
•       Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive influence across many levels of the organization
 Bachelors; MBA Preferred
