Responsibilities:
 
  • The Safety and Training Specialist is responsible for coordinating, managing and administrating company-wide safety-related programs and processes to develop, update and maintain safety and training programs to promote consistent safety culture and maintain efficient training programs for employees and leadership team.
  • Promote a Zero incident Mindset Safety Culture
  • Have knowledge to maintain OSHA logs and regulatory documentation
  • Able to conducts safety presentations and training to support compliance with safety regulations and the consistent application of safe behaviors
  • Provide safety support to maintain and promote safety standards and keep leadership informed on all training and recertification progress for all compliance trainings.
  • Ensure that all job specific trainings have been completed and certified and all new hires are fully and property trained on companywide safety policies and guidelines
  • Lead by example, encourage a safe working environment and correct obvious hazards immediately


Requirements/Qualifications:
 
    • Able to walk warehouse floors and assembly operations to establish Health and Safety Presence
    • Bachelor's degree in Safety or related technical field
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a safety specialist or manager in warehouse operating environment
    • Passionate in creating an inclusive and safe work environment
    • Maintain positive and proactive relationships with  managers and employees
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Demonstrate ability to analyze and resolve problems
