The Position
Currently seeking a Manager of Retail Business Development to work as a part of a small team to quickly pilot new concepts in retail experience and operations. This role will be responsible for identifying new ideas and partnerships to deliver forward-thinking and industry leading customer experiences. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate previous experience working on business development teams, an ability to network and build connections internally and externally and a willingness to challenge the status quo to think beyond incremental improvement.
 
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
•             Identify new partnership opportunities to deliver new and differentiated customer experiences
•             Drive experimentation and a fail-fast model to vet new ideas quickly and cost-efficiently
•             Network and build relationships with innovative companies
•             Lead initial discussions and prepare materials for executive discussions
•             Ensure all projects have clearly defined timelines and success metrics to be measured against
•             Build plans to quickly scale successful pilot projects to maximize impact for the organization
•             Provide project leadership and management for business development pilots
•             Create clear reporting and communication tools to ensure cross-functional visibility and alignment for the innovation portfolio and key innovation projects
•             Develop strong partnerships and communication touch points with all levels of Retail leadership and key leaders at the Director & VP level from key related functions
 
Background/Experience
•             Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of directly related experience is required
•             Business development experience, preferably working with large and small organizations
•             Experience communicating cross-functionally, domestically, and up & down an organization
•             Self-starter and willingness to take initiative
•             Experience collaborating with senior executives across a large organization

•             Demonstrate strong leadership and influencing skills with senior level leaders and teams
•             Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Sophistication in communications, interpersonal relations and diplomacy.
