Job Description:
Excellent understanding of GSM, UMTS, CDMA, EVDO and LTE and the ability to learn quickly using relevant wireless standards.
Use of industry standard testing tools such as Anite, R & S, Anritsu and Spirent to test various test scenarios or experience using a combination of these to test.
Leading GCF activities and PTCRB certification including device preparation, PICS validation / PIXIT, performing GCF / PTCRB tests, supporting laboratory testing and verification of third party reports.
Attend project meetings to provide advice on the requirements of the GCF / PTCRB certification required for wireless products.
Keep up with the needs of 3GPP, 3GPP2, OMA, GCF, PTCRB and Wi-Fi Alliance and updates on the test plans.
Attend GCF / PTCRB meetings if required.
Translates new changes from these industry standards bodies for the development of products at an early stage to ensure proper product design.
Understanding of the GCF / PTCRB certification processes and experience in products certified successfully in GCF / PTCRB.
Ability to resolve test equipment issues and analyze the failures.
About 10% of travel to client laboratories, 3rd party laboratories to support product certification and launch.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors/Master in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred
2+ years of experience in the wireless communication industry.
